What we do

Valiant Medical is a UK based medical device company with a key focus on the area of Vascular Access. Providing market leading solutions for both central venous catheter and AV fistula access. We are committed to helping patients and healthcare professionals to maintain vascular access patency whilst simultaneously reducing catheter related blood stream infections (CRBSI). Our expertise in the area of “Access Patency and Dynamics” is pivotal in ensuring dialysis adequacy for both patients on native or catheter accessed dialysis.

Citraflow™  ZERO REFLUX (Trisodium Citrate)  Our range of prefilled syringes contain a proven anticoagulant and antimicrobial sodium citrate solution. CitraFlow™ is a strong alternative to Heparin, Taurolidine or Gentamicin in the locking of vascular access devices such as Central Venous Catheters or CVADs. We offer the widest range of solution concentrations and syringe sizes in the UK, designed specifically for use in CVC’s. Our products offer antibiofilm, anticoagulant and antimicrobial protection, to maintain the lifeline for those patients who cannot dialyse via an AV fistula.

Our unique range of Zero Reflux Syringes offers new technology which will reduce blood reflux at the tip of the catheter when locking at the end of the dialysis procedure. The Zero Reflux Range will also reduce infusion pressure below 25 PSI in line with manufacturer’s guidelines and is a clear alternative to 3 ml syringes.

Zonis ® (Silver Alginate -Catheter Exit Site Dressing) The Silver Alginate –Maltodextrin Matrix  in Zonis® maintains a wound healing environment which helps to Heal the Seal around the exit site of  CVCs or PD catheters. The Ionic Silver contained in Zonis® Heals and Protects Exit Sites by providing a quick and sustained barrier,  against a broad spectrum of pathogens associated with catheter related infections for up to 7 days.  Zonis® is suitable for all percutaneous medical devices including haemodialysis catheters and peritoneal dialysis catheters.  It provides antimicrobial protection from 650 different organisms and bacteria including MRSA, VRE, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and E. Coli.

Zonis® also offers a strong alternative to topical antibiotics and no incidences of resistance have been reported worldwide.
